Estado actual del conocimiento en rinitis alérgica local

Resumen


En los últimos años se ha descrito un nuevo fenotipo de rinitis, caracterizado por la producción local de IgE específica, sin evidencia de atopia sistémica y se ha denominado rinitis alérgica local (RAL).

Entender los mecanismos fisiopatológicos implicados y el comportamiento de este fenotipo de rinitis, se traducen en el desarrollo de estrategias y tratamientos para impactar en la calidad de vida de los pacientes con esta enfermedad. A continuación presentamos una revisión actualizada de la información disponible referente a esta enfermedad y discutimos los interrogantes aún pendientes por resolver.
