Abstract
In recent years, the prevalence of food allergies has increased and their clinical presentations are increasingly severe. Early diagnosis of a food allergy is important both to prevent new reactions, and for proper nutritional management. Worldwide Studies have been published that show deficiencies in knowledge about food allergies by pediatricians, however, little is known about this situation in Peru. Therefore, we conducted a study to determine the level of knowledge about food allergies of pediatricians of third-level health facilities in Lima, Peru, and associated factors.
